DS lite won't turn on (Unflashed 0%), send to Nintendo?

Ok.. So I tried to flash my ds twice, and it never went past 0% and just turned off after awhile. I turned it back on and it was fine both times. Anyways, I was being stupid and I tried to short the SL1 while in the DS was still on in the menu... What happened subsequently was that the DS lite just turned off and it has yet to turn back on...

I am quite sure i never touched that evil screw and I am quite worried... I don't think I left any traces of me tampering with the system, and I just want it fixed again...

1. Is there anyway I can just reset the DS or something like that, and maybe it will work again? I never got past 0% and it was still turning back on up until i shorted SL1 while it was on the DS lite menu.

2. Has anyone ever sent theirs in after bricking it and had it repaired by Nintendo w/o problems?

Thanks in advance... I know there is the flashing re-boot, but Since i never flashed past 0% and it still turned on afterwards, I feel this isn't the problem. I hope i can fix this somehow, as I cannot return it.

Wow that is too bad. I'm sorry i can't help because i don't own a lite or have flashed my regular one so i don't know what the problems is. Also, i don't think that sending it to them would be a good idea because they would know that you tried to flash at and... yeah, they would know.

Hmm, problems ofter problems are arising with flashing the NDSL.
And now bricking the Lite with just touching the SL1 while in the menu?
have you try to replace the battery with a new one? It might work.
And about the 0% because you brought it up, im not sure how the percentage scaling works, but I'm suspecting that if it only wrote about 1 or 2 kilobytes (out of 200 KB, more or less) the bar will still only show 0%.
Well all of this are just theories.  So can anyone who has more knowledge give some information on this please?

My excuse for touching the SL1 port could just be that I thought it was a reset switch of some sort, otherwise how would they really know? Unlike the original DS, there is no sticker covering the SL1 port. I guess None of us would know for sure until I try =i. My word of advice -- Screw flashing it, just buy a Super Key. Spend some money to save some money =i.

But how are you going to return it? Bring it back to the store or what? Was it an USA release of the NDSL?  Tell us if you succeed returned it for a new one :)
