Hello Everybody

i am planning to buy Supercard SD for my Gameboy,
i stubled across this thread http://supercard.mine.nu/forums/viewtopic.php?t=438, it makes me think again.
is there anyway i can avoid this problem and ?
how is the build quality of Supercard SD and how much longevity it can offer
and do i need to buy superfast SD cards for smooth playing of Games & Movies?

Hi Raghugs.

My advice to you is to keep watching that thread. I will continue to update my progress and I imagine the other user with the problem will do the same.

The worst case scenario is obviously that they've shipped a load of defective carts and refuse to support the customers who have bought them, however Hopebuy seem to be responding quite quickly so far, so I really don't think that is the case and I'm sure the issue can be resolved.

A number of people with fully-functional SDSCs have spoken up, so I imagine these problems are just isolated incidents.

Either way I'll keep you posted.

Hello Everybody

thanks for your kind replies,
i plan to buy cheap ezflash 2 cartrige.
because if i buy super card total cost is climbing up,
but not because of supercard,
i chosen a used Gameboy Advance SP for 50 bucks, but it seems it sold out.
and new one seems around 80 bucks including shipping.
so if i buy supercard and a sd card i must spend another 60 bugs. so total cost would 140 $,

i now a site that sells 128M flash cart for 35$,

is my plan correct, or am i comporamizing so much for the sake of cost,

by-the-way do anybody know where can find good Gameboy Advance Console deals?

Depends on the games you want to play.  128Mbit flash carts are too small nowadays.  Most of the newer good looking RPG games are on 256Mbit sizes with almost nothing to trim.  Supercard (despite some slowdown issues in <10% of games) is the more value-added option.  128Mbit will likely only store 1 game.  Flash carts are Mbit measured, not MB like the flash memory that you put in the Supercard.  A 256MB SD card doesn't cost very much and will store quite a few games esp zipped.
So you're far far better off with a supercard than a measly 128Mbit flash cart.

Thanks for your advise,
but i am bit afraid buying SD version of Supercard.

i have big doubt about logevity of Supercard,
there are lot reports regarding hanging in white screan problem.

another question,
i plan to buy SD Supercard,
shall i use the same SD card for Digicam without fears?
