SuperPass II Problems Flashing

Ok, I've got the programmer and the usb cable attached. The SuperPass II Special Edition is attached with Metriod Prime demo attached.

I installed v.2 software, and when I select Metroid Prime and click Program I recieve

Errror! 1. Hardware Not Connected to PC.
2. USB Cable not connected.
3. SP2 Key Switch not open.

I have the hardware connected. The Usb cable is connected.

On the switch, I can either push it to the left, or leave it in the middle. Neither allow the programmer to work. (This is the Special adition, it has a different switch I think.)

I've tried the 3 default ports, i've tried everything. Rebooting, takign out and plugging everything back in, nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

I've also tried this on two machines. My first machine is Windows XP Pro x64. (64Bit) The program wouldn't even run stated "The driver wasn't open." This is common for my OS because drivers generally wont work on this system unless they are built for it.

So then I tried it on my laptop. Installed fine. Before I hit Finish(Start Program checkd) I plugged in the programmer/usb cable. The program booted up (I presume because it found the programmer) and then I recieved the errors. What am I doing wrong? :(

Lastly, wehn I try to see if the program will boot automaticly when I plug the programmer in, I have yet to see it auto-boot. So i'm wondering if that was just an f' up or I don't know.

Search for my post on this.  The switches really seem to be bad on these.  I removed my switch and replaced it with a short jumper wire.
