DS Lite firmware not recognized by flasme V7?

I have two Lites, one of which (is a navy blue lite) has a firmware version that is recognized by flashme v7 and so I have successfully flashed it.

The other Lite (a white one) however gets a message warning that the firmware is not recognized!?!

Have the different colour lites got different firmware or is my second one of a batch with a newer firmware?

Anyone know if there is a flashme v8 on the horizon then?

Do the pictochat test (eject a DS game while in pictochat) and post what color you get.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

It is magenta...

I am using a passme 2 btw.

So nobody has had this problem when trying to flash a white lite with flashme v7?

ratx

yes someone else reported having the same problem. There is a thread about it here somewhere. They reported being able to install V7 despite the warning with no problems.

Cheers, Ive had a search but couldn't find the thread. Will look again now!

My Navy Blue DS Lite gave me the same firmware warning when I flashed with V7, I ignored it and went ahead.  All works ok with me aswell.

Same thing with my new US DSL.
Didn't recognize the firmware but flashed fine with v7.
I used a bent paper clip covered with scotch tape all over but at the very end.

Same here, flashed with warning.  Are you able to change brightness levels?
