Bricked DS Lite: What are my options?

So I bricked my DS last night. To summarize, I flashed it, the top screen wasn't displaying correctly, so I reflashed it. Same problem. I decided I was going to 'unFlashMe' so I could bring it to the store in the original condition. Apparently 'unFlashMe' is not compatible with DS Lites, or I f'd something up. I started it, and nothing I would do would get it past 1%, shorting thr sl1, NOTHING. I rebooted, to a bricked DS.

Called up Gamespot, apparently all the stores are sold out so I will have to wait a week to exchange. In the meantime, is there anything I can do to try to salvage my DS?

Thats what my top screen looked like. Actually, there probably isn't any reason to try to salvage my ds since I already told the store the DS wouldn't even turn on properly. And a f'd up top screen would probable be seen as physical damage.

so it still turns on?!?

if yes: try reflashing,
if no : how would they tell theres screen damage...?

Look at the above picture. That top screen didn't display anything correctly. It was like invert, with half of the colors working incorrectly. It just looked horrible.

The DS turns on to a black screen, meaning it is bricked. I'm awaiting for Gamestop to tell me when they will haver more DS Lites in stock.

Try the BIOS chip exchange method for rescuing it...

(The thing where you put in another BIOS chip, boot it, start flash tool, switch chips back while unit is running, execute flash)

I only own this one ds. Just got my SuperKey. I'm just going to wait until Gamespot restocks them so I can exchange it.
