I just opened my ds up and I have the short circuit problem due to the cf supercard and Im totally confused on what to do.  Can someone give me a step by step info to fix it?  I have everything I need I just don't know where to start and what to do.  I know I have to solder a fuse but one fuse is hard to reach with a screen.  To make a long story short,  My ds is unscrewed and opened and I see the motherboard and I see f2 but f1 is hard to touch with the screen being in the way.  Can someone tell me what to and what not to do and also how do I check with my multimeter?  I have this multimeter

It's probably going to be fuse F2.  A continuity test must be done to determine whether a DS fuse is blown.  You can't tell by looking at the fuse.  To test the continuity requires the use of a multimeter. It might sound complicated but it's not.  Set the multimeter to the ohm setting. The symbol for ohm is the Greek letter omega. If there is more than one ohm setting, choose X1.  Apply the probes to each end of the fuse in question.  If you can't get the needle to move (or LED to change) then the fuse is blown.  You can solder a small bit of wire across the fuse to bridge it.

I tested both fuses and put my multimeter on 2K and the led changed then went to zero so I bridged a small wire of solder between the little things on the fuse and the ds still doesn't works. :(   What to do?  I tried briding both fuses.  Is there something I did wrong?

Edit:   :D   I got it to turn on now but now its just two white screens but I could hear everything?

Double check all of the ribbon connectors.

Never mind spoke too soon.  I had to wait and redo the settings.  It came on and it works now :D.  Thanks for the help.  Im going to trade this one in tomorrow along with another one and get a ds lite.  Is there any way to revert back to the old firmware?
