Just thought I'd give people a warning not to try copying files directly from another computer on the network, to your SD card on a different computer. It would seem, after doing it twice myself, that it takes the liberty of reformating your SD card D:.

Back in September-December, I always transferred my data to an SD card via my network.  My desktop didn't have a card reader, and my laptop didn't have my DS files on it, so I transfered everything across with smb shares (SD card shared on laptop with write access, files transferred on desktop).

I never had a problem with reformating, but I did notice that copying 512MB of data took 2-3 hours through the network while it took 2-3 minutes copying directly.

Yeah, it seems it wasn't the network making it reformat. I'm lost as to whats doing it.

I have a PC at home that always corrupts my sd whenever I unmount the card reader.
I don't normally use it, so I never bothered to figure out the cause.
