I was going through roms on my supercard to clear out roms that I don't like, when I came across King kong.  I played it for the first time, and when I paused it I noticed that you could switch the back light on and off while playing this rom.  And since I was using the ds lite I was curious as to what would happen.  So I turned the back light option off, and the screen went totaly black.  I could see the screen barely, but it made the game unplayable with the back light off.  There is no signifigance to this, I just was suprised, I figured it would be the same as the ds phat's screen when the back light is turned off.  But to my suprise the screen was more black.

yep.. the regular DS has a more reflective screen.  and, the DS Lite shows black as "true black".  check out any game with black in the screen on a DS and a DS Lite, and you'll see the difference instantly.
