How to convert supercard .sav file to VisualBoy .sav file ?

I have noticed that the supercard .sav file (I am using miniSD version) is only half the size (64KB) of the VisualBoy PC emulator's .sav file (128 KB) and they are not compatible.

Does anyone know if there is a utility to convert these ?  That way, I can play the game on computer when it's not appropriate to play the GBA SP. and copy it back to the miniSD card and continue to play on GBA SP when I can.

The QBoy flasher seems to use the regular VisualBoy .sav (128K) file and I am not sure if any other flasher cards or storage card (like m3) use what .sav format.

Thanks,

If you go under the Options to Gameboy and Save type you will see Flash 64k and Flash 128k, default setting for Visual Boy is 64k. I have no issue with those, they all save as 64k, check your own settings.

I went through all the menu items, didn't see file option.
The Picture here shows the menu path you mentioned:

Any ideas ?

I tried both 1.7.2 and 1.8.0 version of VBA, Both are the same

Yes, I was found even when I open a save file that is 128k in size, the default flash 64k was checked.

Even when I save it again in game, VBA creates a 128k .sa1 file.

What I found out is that .sa1 is the same format as the .sav which is generated when you save the game from within the game itself.  When you save the game useing VBA menu save game option, it saves to .sgm file which has different sizes, mostly between 50-75k.  I think this is probably what this flahs 64k is referring to.  But in order to use the .sgm file, you still need a good bettery file, in this case, a 128 .sa1 or .sav file.
The supercard 64k .sav file when renamed to sa1 or when imported to VBA using import menu, shows white screen.

I did manage to port the VBA 128k .sav file to supercard using the import save option in supercard software and the result is a 128k .sav file and a 448k .sci file and it works!  So I got a one way success from VBA to SC.
Hopefully, from now on, I can create a the corect 128k .sav file for SC to use and when I need to port it back to VBA, it will work, I still need to test this theory.

However, the great .sav file in have on supercard now in 64k format still can't make it to VBA.  Too bad I got VBA link to work now if I can port this SC .sav file, I can have some interest trading to do on my computer.
This would give me the power to double, triple (or increase without any limit) any thing that I have in the game since I can duplicate the donor .sav file again and agin on my computer by just copying it.

Any help from SC to VBA would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
