What is the battery in the Mini SD Supercard for?

yeah i wanted to know too, if the clock for the GBA pokemon games work on the sd mini

i may be wrong in contradicting acky, but I don't think it is for RTC at all. it's just for battery-backed SRAM.

The battery is usefull for saving in FFTactics.
No need to do QPC anymore, the game save like the original cart.

It's the only game I've tested so far, it probably does that with most of the GBA games that have "corrupt save file" problems.
