Hello, I never really had an interest in ScummVM, but now I feel like trying it.

----------------------------------------
This is what I have--

-Flashed v7 firmware 1 DS
-Supercard CF
-256 CF Card
-Curse of Monkey Island demo (from website [complete demo w/ movies])
-scummvmds0-61.zip

-----------------------------------------

I never really understood what I'm supposed to do to get it working...
Theres not a guide on how to do it on the ScummVM DS website for Supercard. I searched the forums for this, and I came up with threads a long time ago using early version of ScummVM DS. I've heard something about Zip files, something about not using Zip files, and in the end, I'm just very confused.

I would be very glad if someone can post a step-by-step guide starting from after downloading scummvmds0-61.zip. It would be nice if you could include -- How to set it up from the beginning -- Best way to save -- Best way to play scummvm games.

Writing a guide would help me and many others new to ScummVM DS.

Thank you VERY MUCH!
Muchly appreciated  :D

it's pretty easy actually, you'll only need some of the files from the game, usually is like, for an example, monkey.000, monkey.001 and a monster.sou file, in this case is very possible there's not a monster.sou file OR, in some older games ther'll be a bunch of files like disk01.lec disk2 3 4 etc and some flc files also, in this case i think you'll need them all, well in doubt just put all the files of the game on a folder in your cf, though you most definetly won't need any .exe or .bat files thats for sure, all of that is mainly for saving space that's all. but it'll be pretty minimum as the files you need are the biggest ones, so after you placed all of the game files on a folder in the cf copy over scummvmDS to you cf as well, you'll have to use the scummvm-a.ds.gba one renamed to .nds, then boot your ds run scummvmds, there will be a simple gui, click on add game, choose the folder that the files of the game are in hit ok and a new window will apear with the name of the game and some possible configurations, you won't need to mess with any of them so just confirm it and the game will be added to the list, choose the game and hit  run(I think it's run, been a long time since I used it), and the game will start.

nevermind, I bought myself a full version at the local thrift store (surprised they had it) and that error is not there anymore.

Do I just use QPC to save? scummvm-a.sav?

You should be able to save directly via the save dialog.  I think you just need to but a scummvm-b.sav file... I'm not sure what I did, but it works for me.  SC CF and SC Mini

I've only tried QPC so far, and it works.

Ill try saving directly

(Monkey island 2 is fun! Too bad I dont know what to do...)

well, this is one of the things you configure on the gui, the save file location that is, saving is pretty easy(given you have the latest version) in the case of sc/m3 it will save directly to the card on a file, I think by hiting select OR start there will be a menu with a save option, it all worked absolutely perfect on my SC CF, though I only played DOTT so far.

How do you know what games will work with this emulator? Is there a list?
