I just bought the Supercard SD with Superpass DS, but i can not get any games to run or be recognised. I updated the firmware to 1.62 and i also use the lastest software v2541 to convert. The firmware flashed fine, and the converstions were completed successfully. I then make a folder on the sd card called 'games' then put the converted rom in there.

Problem is when i load up the nintendo ds, i get to the screen which shows what is in your SD card, i look in the folder 'games' but there is no games in there. why does that happen?

Please explain if i have missed any steps...

Try not making a folder called games and just drop the games on the root of the SD card.

so you are booting in nds mode right, not gba mode. i f your booting in nds mode you shuld see a black screen on the bottom and it should say supercard ds. also try converting in to the pc and then drag your files into the sd card.

Definiately sounds like "running in GBA mode" to me, which usually screams there was a problem flashing either the DS or the Supercard firmware...

I don't think Josh has gotten far enough to try flashing his DS. The problem could be with the Supercard firmware, but most likely not.  Josh, can you run GBA games?

I think the problem is getting Superpass to boot the supercard in DS mode.  Make sure you see the dual screen Supercard logo menu.  When you say Superpass do you mean Superpass2?  Do you have a DS lite or a DS phat?  DS lite requires a Superpass2.  If you have a DS phat then help us help you by checking your DS version . . .

Hello all,

Thankyou for your replies... i now understand more about this device so i will explain more clearer what i have done.

GBA roms work, i just tried my Zelda gba and it works fine. I think that the problem is the Superpass. It is a superpass 1, not a superpass 2, there is no 2 in the title yet it looks the same as the superpass 2.

When i plug in the superpass with my original nds 'super mario' the nintendo boots up to a white screen and stays like that forever. i dont know what to do at this point...

I have the phat ds, not the ds lite

I also checked my version which has a pass on this list http://www.dspassme.com/dstrackerlist.shtml .my serial number is NAF10048633

Kind regards

Check your DS first to see if you need a superpass2

Quote
On an unflashed console, insert an original DS game cartridge, then go into Pictochat and select Room A. Then take out the game cartridge whilst the console is still powered on. This will not harm your console or your game, but, if your screens go Magenta (V5) or Yellow (V4), then you need a SuperPass2 programmed to use a specific game cartridge, with that cartridge present, if you want to run NDS software from the SuperCard menu.

If the screens turn Dark Green (V3) or Grayish Blue (V2) or if your DS 'hangs' and you can't do anything (V1), then you can use a SuperPass1 with any game cartridge in it to run NDS software from the SuperCard.

Hello Everyone,

I have done the test you have requested, and the result was two yellowish white screens. I believe that i need the superpass2, the problem is I bought the superpass 1...

Is there any other way i can flash the superpass into a superpass 2? or is there anything else i can do without perchasing a new superpass 2.

Kind regards

you can flash the cpld of the superpass with a jtag or "cheaptag" to make it a passme2 (superpass2).  instructions are on dspassme.com (i think that's where it is).. but it's not that simple.

The other option is to locate someone who has a passme2, or a passcard, or any 2nd or 3rd generation passme or nopass, and borrow it just long enough to flash your DS with flashme.
