Hi there.

I'm a total noob and only actually converted from PSP to NDS Lite a few days ago so please bear with me and be gentle.

I just wanna get some info on what I need to do when I receive my SuperCard and SuperKey so that I can be up and running as soon as poss.  I went ahead and installed the SuperCard software (v.2.541) on my PC and I've downloaded the v.1.62 firmware for the card (I have the SD version to match the memory card version that I'm getting).

OK, questions:

1) I assume that I just pop the ISO file contained in the firmware upgrade ZIP file directly onto the root of my memory card ?!?!?!?  If so, what do I do then to upgrade it and what needs to be inserted in the NDSL ??

2) Once patched, can I just delete the firmware file ??

3) Do the patched ROMS of the latest NDS titles work straight from the SuperCard (as long as the SuperKey is inserted) without any other necessary files being present and do they also just run straight from the root of the memory card ?

4) What files do I need to play converted GBM/GBS movie files or is there a way of playing unconverted AVI files with the DS Lite ?

I think that'll do but I'll no doubt have other questions when the thing arrives.   Sorry to be so green but we all have to start somewhere, right ?? he he

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I can't answer the first 3 (i'm a bit new myself) but for playing movies on the DS you want Moonshell to play the movies and Dpgtools to convert the movies to .dpg . I can't remember where to download them but just search around the forum and you'll find it.

There are no ISOs with DS. It's all about ROMs and firmware.  Yes, put the supercard firmware upgrade file in the root of the miniSD.  You should run the supercard firmware upgrade in GBA mode without superkey.

Yes.

The supercard patcher software will output *.nds.dsq and *.nds.sav files. Make sure you specify Save and Rom Position to be SD option.  The patcher software is for use with commercial game roms only. You can run patched roms from the root or from subdirectories, it doesn't matter.

Moonshell is the best media player for DS. It requires AVI files be converted to DPG format with the dpgenc software.

i think he meant bin file not iso

Thanks for the answers guys.

I already have Moonshell (until now, I didn't know why   ) so I assume I just copy all of the files that it outputs onto the memory card as they are.  Must go and convert some vids then.

Thanks for the files and again for the help.

Just one more quickie............I hope.

Rael Time Save isn't working for me.  By pushing L,R,B and Select together, I should get a dialog box pop up asking if I want to save...right ??

That ain't happening.  I've patched them with all the right features ticked but no joy.  Any ideas where I may have gone wrong ?  Do I need to create some sort of file for each game or summink ?

Ta.

real time saves is just for gba games nds game save as normal

Davey

Ahhhh, that would explain it.

Thanks again.......
