I just got a supercard SD and I downloaded a movie from gbafilm.com but when I play it on my supercard the sound works perfect but the video is just big pixels all over. It does the same thing when playing it in the movie converter. I looked at the forum on gbafilm.com and some other people had the same problem but they fixed it by upgrading firmware to e.18 I tryed updating but it dosent do any thing and the version it says I"m using on the gameboy is version v1.30 under the help. I cant figure it out.

I dont even think you are supposed to mention gbafilm.com here as that is not exactly legal  but the answer to your question is this, the movies on that site have already been pre-encoded in crystal engine format otherwise known as the e.18 firmware you mentioned in your post so they cannot be played unless you own a GBA/NDS Movie Player but I would save your money for M3 if you dont already have a previous version MP like myself
