New Firmware = New Patching

Please be aware that when you flash your Supercard with the DS kernel, you will need to run your GBA roms through the new version of the supercard software in order for any of your patches to work! (in other words, when you load up your roms from CF/SD, they work, but when you try to L+R+A+SELECT, it doesn't work..)

You will have to re-patch your roms... so if you don't have the original rom anymore, watch out!

Unless you can run the v1.44 patched rom through the new patcher, but I doubt it.

I just updated my SC with 1.50 kernel and what i have is a GBA SP.
My test rom was 0999 - Castlevania - Aria of Sorrow (U).
L+R+SELECT+A didn't do anything, yet i have my rom saver patched. And L+R+SELECT+B freezes the game while i hold the keys, it continues to work when i release them.

I already was starting to feel bad as i couldn't downgrade to 1.44 kernel anymore. It says it's not relyable to "upgrade" when i have UPDATE.SCU (1.44 firmware) in CF's root.
I'm dowloading 2.40 patch software just now btw and post about it later, if there's something to note.

EDIT:
Ok, tryed again repatching my roms in SC software 1.40. I have everything in my HD.
It works fine now, tryed the same Castlevania and 1716 - Kirby And The Amazing Mirror (U). RTS and normal saves now work fine.
By the way, 0593 - Yoshi's Island - Super Mario Advance 3 (U) still fails patching.

So I suppose that the patching software will be out when the superpass is out ? Well hope the superpass will be available soon in my country.

What are you saying? SuperCard software version 2.40 is in the download site already.

Does anyone know if advance wars 2 will work now under the new Firmware? Or is it completely doomed.

Ditto, this is the only reason I would update. Don't want to have to redo everything if there's no improvements for us non DS users

It doesn't work. so if that's your only motivation for upgrading, maybe it's better to sit tight and see if a game-specific fix comes out.

isnt the romdat that fixes games and has the patch info in it? (big guess)
anything good with the new one releasted?
