Probably not the best spot to post this, but lacking a "gen discussion" forum I figured here was wrather general...

I just wanted to say thanks to Ntolerance for the past unofficial SuperCard site, and thanks to Socket for bringing it back from the land of locked :)

All the help and tips here are great to have, considering the lack of good english support or for that matter a readable forum at the official supercard site, and thanks for keeping it all alive.

Please, take a minute (or many minutes) to sticky some formal "rules of conduct" as I never did see the deleted posts that caused the lockdown, I and others are likely in the dark as to what mischief was afoot.

The General forum is perfect for this thread.

And you're welcome.  Thanks for sticking with us.  I apologize for the downtime, but what we've done will be the best thing in the long run, and best of all we've been able to save all the old content and user stuff, so we're able to pick up right where we left off.

We will update the rules soon.

Yeah, kudos for the unlocking.  8)
This site rocks even more (with a killer domain as well!)

We couldn't let the SC scene die.  It's my pleasure.

And about the domain: we dont really do too much 'dev' but I guess the SC is actually developing right now, so it works... and I thought it was a pretty cool  short name.

Rules?  We'll have to write something up... but as you might think, they're going to follow some common sense... Absolutely no illegal roms, etc.  I'm still not really sure what to do about simple discussion of the SC/DS stuff as it's actually not illegal to do or talk about. I just really think it's a bad idea to even mention other sites that have illegal links let alone the links themselves.  IMO Romman is being pretty careless... He would have been smart to simply release a patcher, but that's not how it went.

I was doing my research into which card to buy and I stumbled across the old site and decided to register.

I then woke up and released that the site was locked, so a very big thanx from me for opening it again :-D

I found the old site very handy, so again thanx to NTolerance and Socket.

 guess it does say general, teach me for posting when I am too tired - was thinking of "general" as if it meant SC only

I can honestly say I was surprised to be able to login with my old account when it moved, so rare that a move goes off without major losses (like skins and such lol )

I personally am overjoyed to be able to compile my DS app and toss it to the SD and run it nearly instantly without mucking about with a flashcart that has a limited rewrite capacity especially when the homebrew roms are rarely over a Mbyte.

IMHO, RomMan is likely under stress to produce results with that M3 thing coming soon, and users demanding results - not to mention the challenge they gave in their compatibility list saying basically that SC has no hope in heck of dealing with nds rom/hombrew.

Hopefully he can drop these illegal, patched roms off his to-do list and give us the patcher instead (provided it contains no illegal code too..) and that should bring things somewhat back to normal, I'd say.

I really don't know what a lot of people would do without this site! I wouldn't have a clue how to half the stuff with the SC otherwise. Kudos guys.
