I got my passme today, and commercial patched games are playing fine.

However, any .ds.gba or .nds file  try and load just gives a white screen. Any ideas what to do? Any help would be SERIOUSLY appretiated...

Its got worse... now mario 64 wont work as a loader. Is there a supercard update I've missed for some reason? Thats all I can think of. Because:

I've put the latest firmwear on, at least, i THINK its the latest. I'm using the one listed on supercard.cn as "SC Kernel software V1.50( for NDS & PassMe,copy it to CF,and run it on NDS) (2005.8.6 update)".

I've flashed my DS, I'm using metroid as a loader... no homebrew.

Mario as a loader - no anything.

What's wrong with it???  :(

Ok, I realise now that Mario DS doesnt work on flashme. Mario will stil load via passme.

Ive now tried and tested every combination I can,I think I"ve tried one of every size save. Here are my results:

Metroid with flashme - Loads roms, no homebrews.
Metroid with passme - loads roms, no homebrews.
Jam with the band (Diagasu band brothers) with flashme - Loads roms, no homebrews.
Jam with the band (Diagasu band brothers) with passme - Loads roms, no homebrews.
Mario with flashme - Loads nothing.
Mario with passme - loads roms, no homebrew.
Wario ware with flashme - Loads roms, no homebrew.
Wario ware with passme - Loads roms, no homebrew.
Feel the magic with flashme - Loads roms, no homebrew.
Feel the magic with passme - Loads roms, no homebrew.

So there you have it - I can boot the patched commercial roms, just not standard .nds homebrew files. This DEFINATELY isn"t right, surely?

I"m gonna try and get some homebrew roms patched, see if that makes a difference. I"ll keep everyone updated.

You should take a .ds.gba file then rename it to .nds

Just a ds.gba or a standard .nds won't work.

mat

great! Thanks for your help, but I'm having a little trouble with this.

I take a ds.gba and change its file name to "something.nds", but it still has the extension .gba after it. I just cant get rid of it for some reason. Any idea why that is? It leaves it so on the supercard, I have "filename.nds.gba", which will give me a gameboy advance intro, then white screens.

Eeeerm........

Odd.

Have you got known file extensions hidden in windows exporer? Not that .gba is a particularly known extension......

Anywho, open a command prompt, dir to wherever you have the something.ds.gba file and type
ren something.ds.gba something.nds

socket

yeah... sounds like a windows issue.

like LargePig said, unhide the extensions, or use cmd.

albrowne

Already sorted this out for him, don't worry.

I have to add a ndsloader.bin with some of my homebrews and with other I don't need to, here is a link for the ndsloader

Super Mario 64 DS (USA) - Loads Homebrew and Most Retail NDS
Metroid Demo (USA) - Loads Homebrew, some Retail

Both using a passme from www.dspassme.com

Please note that either do not load original .nds homebrew and it will only boot .ds.gba homebrew when renamed to .nds.

Please refer to this picture as possibly I might have a different version of the mario cart then others do in the USA ->
