Hey guys/gals,

I have a Supercard CF using Firmware 1.44 , and i use it for playing GBA games only.  I was wondering if someone could advise me as to whether or not it would be beneficial to upgrade my firmware, and if so, could you advise me how i would go about it.... (i know how to install the files... im just unsure of which versions can be upgraded from).

So any information would be nice thanks.

definitely benificial
i would advise firmware 1.60 and patching v2.52 i think, as later than this the only change to gba is breaking the compression, u will have to repatch ur roms

also look at http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/SupercardGBASlowdowns for a tutorial on how to make games run better

Thanks very much for the info and the link.
I'm now fully up to speed with the firmware.  I've already noticed a few improvements with various roms, so its all good.

actually the latest patcher he could go is 2.53 to keep the compression and he could still use the latest 1.63b software. i keep the 2.53 patcher and the latest patcher installed all the time. that way i can save space while keeping up with the latest compatiblity features.
