From reading these forums, it sounds like QPC should be working for me in games like mario world and yoshis island.  I am patching with only "Enable Save" and "Enable Saver Patch" chosen in properties.  I get the game running on super card, save ingame, then turn off and on as quickly as possible.  When I return to the main DS menu, I choose GBA cart and see that there is no longer any game loaded onto the SD card.  I go to the specified save file, choose yes on "Do you to save to SD", and then start the game back.  When I get back in the game, there are no longer any savegames in the game.  Am I doing something wrong, or is there something I dont know? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Do you have passme and use DS stuff with the SC? If you do I recommend updating your ds firmware so that the health screen doesnt take some of the time up, as getting back into the SC menu fast is essential. (it is working for me, although my DS has the firmware patch and the healtscreen does not come up)

i am pretty sure the data stays in ram as long as there's power in the DS.  this should include the DS's menu.  the supercard is already receiving voltage as long as it's properly inserted and the DS is 'on'.  but yes, the health thing is annoying. i flashed my firmware more for that reason than any other.  i don't mind using my passme

I just thought the Quick in QPC wasnt window dressing... didnt realize that the DS powers both slots continuously even when not in use... guess one should take the SC out when playing real DS cart games I suppose (save on batteries)

well, i'm not saying that the supercard is still receiving power once a normal DS game is being played from the DS slot (i should have been clearer in my reply)...  but i know for sure that until you choose DS or GBA at the 'menu', there is power going to the GBA slot.  in any case, for some reason my original Nintendogs cart behaved strangely when i left my supercard in the GBA slot.  (not running anything from the supercard)..

the mic seemed to be less sensitive, and i had to vocalize my commands more loudly for my dog to understand.  I noticed this off and on.

so MAYBE... maybe there is a voltage drawn by the supercard when it's not in use? or maybe i'm just thinking too much. hehe..  :?
anyway, i just wanted to clarify, so that i don't start spreading unfounded misinformation

would there be enough power while in the DS menu to keep the SRAM powered (IIRC SC takes alot of power compared to GBA carts) or just enough to simply detect if the cart gets removed? (damn I wish I had some of my old EET stuff to play with these days)

yeah.. i didnt' think of that.  i do know that even before i flashed my firmware, i was able to QPC without any hassles.. but maybe i was still doing the whole thing in less than the estimated 3 seconds it takes for the power to discharge.
