so in the runnings for quick microsd cards are kingmax aka atp, high speed but only 512. theres the adata which should be x60 high speed... what else. i have a 1gb kingston microsd that i havent opened yet so i might return that for something faster.

sonicwind

why do you need such a fast card all ds games work full speed.  reg sandisk works just fine.

darkunitzero

iono theyre about the same price so i mean why not. like the adata 1gb online is about 35 plus shipping and the kingston that i have is 35 plus tax.

well my opinion is this, if you're just getting it for your supercard then go with the more reliable card which i say is sandisk, then kingston then a-data )anyone can voice their thoughts as well). if the card might also be used for other things where the product might have a use for high speed then go for speed also. read up and decide. usually the manufactures websites have all the necessary info.

I've got an A-Data 1gb microSD. It is dirt cheap plus it is the fastest microSD card out. The access times have been 0.7ms on various tests done by hdtach. The tests were performed multiple times on two laptops. The error margin was 0.1ms...

It is a lot faster than a Sandisk and wins Kingmax as well.

PS. Popinadam... that Kingston card has a 2.0-2.5 access time. It is really slow and there are slowdowns.

lenselijer

strange, i have 0.7ms on kingston microsd with hdtach.

maybe you tested a fake kingston card?

pte

Nope, that is with every Kingston card. A 0.7ms can't be possible since the Kingstons lags in the Castlevania intro. That has been reported by many users. Normal Kingston cards are cheap and reliable, but slow.

darkunitzero

pte thanks for your reply. ive been waiting for someone to reply. anyways my a-data is coming in the mail. i ordered it tuesday and it might be coming before the sc lite =\.

I had a A-data 60x and a SanDisk regular Mini-SD.
Havent had reliablity issue with either although the A-data one did work better.
The sandisk stuttered on the Rub-Rabbits menu and jerked more on the castlevania intro.
So hopefully the micro-sd performs just as well for you.

Hmm, download a program called hdtach and test the kingston and a-data with it. My Kingston lags in DoS intro for sure and I heard that from many other users.

darkunitzero

ok, ill dl it. im watching it right now on the kingston and its smooth as hell. no chop like my kingston minisd. the adata looks just as smooth also.
