Hi All,

Ok i had some gab roms and ran them through a programme called "Nintenren" and it renamed them to there correct names.
Now when i try to add them using the latest supercard software it says "open file error".
The file are a winrar zip file.
If i extract the files then i can add the roms.
Also the exactly the same file can be added to the m3 with no problem at all.
I have some gba roms that have not been run through "Nintenren" and they can be added fine.
Anyone got any ideas?

i have no idea the newest patcher extracts things out of zip archives ok for me. some of the old patchers wouldn't do that.... otherwise looks like your nintenren is doing something odd if the ones not run through it are being added fine, but the ones have have are not.

Why even run it through Ninten in the first place? I just might manually shave the names a bit so they're easier to find in the menu, but other than that you should have no reason to patch them with anything else than the SC patcher.

Make sure it is zip file

AND

rom in the zip file isn't in a folder

SC converter won't be able to open the file if the file is inside of the folder..

Unzip it and zip on the rom without folder...

Hi,

Its a problem with the supercard software.
m3 are far far quicker releasing updates then supercard.
In the time that ive had supercard i have seen 1 update as to about 6 or so on the m3.
The supercard team need to get there act together and update the cart asap as they will soon lose customers to m3.

That is false information. I've been using Supercards for almost a year now and Romman's team has provided excellent support and they have been the first to get 99% of DS games working.  The only reason why we have to wait until October before we get another update is because there are so many games being released this month that it would be ridiculous for Romman to relese a new patcher software every few days. Supercard GBA support is not great because of a hardware limitation.

Hi Bitblt,

I would think it would be easier to release un update as games are released to keep the anxious ppl happy.
I was the beta tester for the E Cube cart and it died as there were no updates for months at a time.
I have both m3 and supercard but have to say m3 at the moment is much better.
Hopefully roman will release a new client or patcher soon.
