Hi.
I have a very sad problem with my DS.
It worked just fine until the end of previous week, and on monday something started to happen.
When I play game after some time the touch screen starts to act strangely.
It acts like it was self-touching (if you know what i mean). When i touch it it doesnt react at all or it acts in other way (when i touch top left it acts like i would touch lowwer right etc.).
I'm very worried. For now I play pokemon so i dont use Touch screen at all, but it really IS the HUGE PROBLEM!!!
Please help.

BTW1. I calibreted touch screen several times but it didnt help.
BTW2. I wonder if my moonshell problem is somehow connected with this Touch screen prob. (http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6278)
Becouse this problem returned ONEKELLY
Maybe the screen self touched while watching the movie and thats why the picture gone to the lowwer screen??

Hopefully its not a big problem :)
I had a similar problem a while back.
After some research I found out it was because some crud had got trapped around the screen edges pressing the touch screen down causing weird presses.
A quick blast with the compressed air and all was good again.
With luck the same thing is happening to you.

I had this problem last night.  I pull everything thing out checked my SD for curruption (which it has), fixed my SD card through dos using 'chkdsk'.  After my SD card was fixed and I put everything back in the slots, it works fine again.  I did give the sreen a wipe too.

OK, the problem is gone.
The touthbrush didnt worked so i opend my whole ds (i have a trident screwdriver) and cleand all my ds including touch screen. Now everything works fine, even the moonshell prob. (http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6278) is gone :D. THX for help and chilling me down a little ;) because i was really stressed out.
I supouse it was good because, by the way, i cleand every single button, they were v. dirty ehehe

KTZM, sorry I missed this post yesterday (even with my name in it, busy at work for once). This is going to sound like monday morning QB'ing, but, when you had your moonshell prob with the screen issue, all i could think of was that somehow the screen was getting pressed down, whether there was dirt or the case was slightly tweaking it or whatever. I never mentioned it cause, naive me thought nah, you are fooling yourself. It has to be a software issue.

lesson learned, thanks.

BTW, i am glad all is working. So, were you scared opening the DS up?

I have a same problem but it is on the middle of the screen.but i have fixed it now. Just use my finger push very hard on the middle of the screen and the problem gone!

I recommend you to return it to the store you bought it from. Some day you notice that pushing the screen hard won't help and you have a non-functional touchscreen.
