Hello.

I've got a CF SC which has been working fine for over 1 year.
But now it won't detect the CF any more.
The self-test shows this error :

Test CF
CF error:
error code:05 CF state:50

The same error happens with every CF, even after re-formatting the FAT filesystem. I tested 3 different ones.

The SC firmware version is 1.63.

Does anybody know the meaning of these error codes (05 and 50) ?
Can I do anything to revive my SC, or is it drop dead ?
I cannot re-flash because no CF works

check to see if there are any bent pins in cf thing (cant think of the word)

No bent pin.

However, I see that some pins are not at the same level.
They are spaced properly, but have not the same length.

Basically, all pins have the same length, except :
- the lower left and upper right ones, which are shorter
- the upper left, the lower right, and 2 in the middle, which are longer
The length difference with the normal level is no more than 2 mm.

I've never noticed this difference because it's the first time I closely look into the CF port of the SC.

Could somebody have a look at its own CF SC and see if there's also a notable difference in the pins length ?

The difference in pin lengh is normal.  I first noticed it in my Supercard CF, too.
