the SC again? Now don't get me wrong, I love my supercard to death but I was wondering if I should get a g6 or m3 or whatever, they seem to have more features than the supercard (like gba union) what's your take on this?

(and I really apologize for so many topics on here, the SC was the only thing holding me over until the Wii and now I have like nothing to do >_>)

Well you are in a Supercard forum, so majority of the people are probably going to say get another Supercard.

Anyways here are my two cents (I have been looking for a new flashcart for awhile too, new things keep on coming out):

First off, are you sure you want a flashcart right now?  If you wait a bit more, a whole new line of cards are coming out, G6 DS, Ewin3, Supercard DS, and of course Acekard.  They are all slot 1 solutions promising tons of new features.  I am especially keen on Acekard, it looks very promising.  There are 2 other slot 1 cards that are already out worth mentioning, DS Link and DS Xtreme.  DS Link is basically a flash cart limited to DS roms only but has a micro sd reader, which is nice for the expanding memory.  The DS Xtreme has a built in 4 Gigabit or 512 Gigabyte built in memory.  It is fine if you only want it for games, but if you want movies or games, 512 isn't enough.  The DS Xtreme also features amazing features, but at a high price.  Your other option is to get a slot 2 solution.  3 key carts you mentioned are the Supercard, the G6 and the M3, but you are forgetting another major cart, the EZ Flash 4 series.  The Supercard series you probably know too well, and for the G6 and M3, you have probably done your research.  The EZ Flash 4 is very interesting, many people don't even think of it as an option, but it should be a very very tempting offer.  I recently did some research on it, because I won one, and basically it amazes me.  The EZ Flash team has always been very good about their support, even now they support their older carts.  The EZ Flash 4 at lauch was a crappy piece of hardware, it had crappy support for DS, its homebrew support was near 0, but the GBA support was off the charts.  The EZ Flash team was known for perfecting the GBA emulation, which they still retain.  When it came to DS however, they were terrible.  But recently, a couple of major updates have brought them up to speed with Supercard, their NDS support has only 4 games they don't support yet, and homebrew applications are constantly adding EZ4 support.  The EZ Flash team is also adding new features such as the GBA Union.  In my opinion, they EZ Flash 4 is a great option to take, although it does lag more than the Supercard.

I think the winner is pretty clear before you posted this up, the Supercard is cheap and easy for NDS support, and EZ Flash 4 is great for GBA, and will soon be great for NDS too.  Supercard is by far the cheapest, but you should also pay close attention to the Slot 1 solutions.

I just replaced a SCminiSD with the SCLite, because even though I know I'll end up buying one Slot1 card or another sometime in the next 6 months or so, I want the SCLite for all the extra storage. If I have a 4Gb or even 8Gb Slot1 card devoted to DS games, I can have all my homebrew, video and MP3 on the Supercard.

I'd give some thought to buying the DSExtreme right now, but I'm waiting for someone to confirm that Supercard saves can be imported to it, and I also suspect that given a few more months there'll be some other options on the market.

Hmm, I can see replacing my supercard but I don't want it to go through the same problem again with the prongs bending, then again I can just be more cautious this time around. Thanks pharaoh!
