does this mean that regular games can use its rumble pac or only the supercard itself?

Good question, I'm going to assume both.

Quote from: "Mikeypr"It says 100% compatible.
Does that mean no more firmware updates?

im guessing they mean its 100% compatible with all the latest games, doesnt neccessarily mean new games will work, well one can dream....

over at yyjoy they got some new pics of the rumble mini sd
http://www.yyjoy.com/yy/?p=1423#more-1423

How 'bout these new pictures?
Looks like a little electirc motor with an offset weight to make it want to wiggle.

I just hope it isn't noisy like the Nintendo version.

Hanafuda

Actually that's a much more conventional rumble motor than what Nintendo used. I'm just concerned about how its being implemented. Can it be turned on/off, or do you have to select enable/disable when patching the rom? Or even worse - is it enabled no matter what?

How does it know when to rumble? If it is based simply on sound signal levels, then no way is it going to feel right.

I'm not against it, but not I'm convinced its an improvement.

ShadowFalls

I am still looking for real confirmation of no GBA support. If it is really so, mine as well throw all these out, because they are useless. Just going to lose business, I have no need for the rumble, nor anyone else I know who cares.

maxj

well some ppl were saying it might be a translation error but a chinese version of the same feature list also state there is no gba support so i think no gba thing is real. tbh i would much rather have gba support than rumble. now im torn between the old version or the new one, i mean the new one must be better in every way surely except no gba. anyways that site i was talking about before will have a review up soon to go with the pictures so i'll tell u all about it when they get it up
upercard MiniSD Rumble
Superkey
Transcend 1Gig 80X

GBA IS NOT SUPPORTED

The supercard site has the rumble pro software on their download page. I downloaded and installed it and there was no cheat folder... and you can't upload GBA anymore.

I know this might be an unpopular thing to say here, but if you care that much about GBA, why the heck would you pick the Supercard anyway? Actually I care about GBA SO MUCH that I insist on using an EFA Linker, so the Supercard's GBA capabilities (and lack thereof) are a non-issue for me. But if I had to have one device to run DS and GBA, and needed the best possible performance for both, I wouldn't be choosing the Supercard. That's just something we all know. Even if the slowdown issues don't bother ya, the GBA savegame procedure on Supercard is ridiculous. With the EFA it is as if I'm playing an official cart, much the same as DS gameplay and saving is done on Supercard. But GBA on Supercard - no thanks.

THis rumble thing is most likely just a gap filler to squeeze some more sales out of the Slot2 generation before they release their Slot1. The Slot1 market is going to be interesting - except for build quality and fixed vs. removeable media, there's not necessarily going to be a whole lot to differentiate the products. And unless its by emulation (no thanks) none of them are going to do GBA either.

Devil_Spawn

its says rumble in EVER game as sorta like highlighted or something, i was wondering does that mean in EVERY game as in say mark of the minis or mario kart?

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Both of you said it. I got my M3 mini for GBA, but M3 still sucks a bit for DS. SC's Slot1 is coming soon I'm sure. Hoping for AceKard like features.

BTW, SCLite RUMBLE is cheap - http://www.hopebuy.com/0001/0303/21921301.htm

about $25.00... the miniSD and SD models are cheaper still. I think the lower power draw, "hi-speed" function, and looooow price make up for the loss of fair to shitty GBA. I just hope the rumble is easy to disable. :)
..4...h.e.a.r.t...6.6.6...

shaz

Ofcourse not lol!
Im gonna pick the DS LITE RUMBLE SC, when is it coming out?

I don't care about the GBA THAT MUCH, but I would still like to play some of the supported games.  Some major ones like Sword of Mana.  It's just a nice bonus.  It is just that I expected that the Supercard series would put out some new software or series that will increase GBA support, and not the other way round.
