i am using a D-Link (DI-624)b

has anyone had this problem, and if you did, how did you fix it?

tennisgy

Are you guys using DHCP (router automatically assigns the DS an IP)? If so, you should manually set the IP in your DS because for some reason, certin homebrew apps have issues with DHCP not working correctly.

Same problem here. Although DSO's IRC works, but DSFTP and NDSmail don't. I'll try with a static IP ASAP.

Yeah, like marzxbarz said... My wireless AP is set to DHCP but when I use DHCP settings on the DS I cant connect.  As long as I pick an IP withing the DHCP range, it works great.

Here's an example:

IP: 192.168.0.67
Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1 (or whatever the address of your router is)

liquidnitrogen

wait, these settings are located in the router's "WAN" settings right?

and i put these numbers in the DS's wifi screen?

IP, mask, Gateway, + DNS? ...

hm... connection in DSLive Weather Successful, but it doesnt seem to be able to get the information...

rss_fd == -1 ... what does this mean?

Uhm, I just created a static profile in the Nintendo WiFi connection, but HB apps still use the dynamic one, but now it works! :shock:
