Since i've never flashed my ds, (phat) i'm still using first generation superpass . now often , when i poer on my ds it does not launch supercard menu anymore....

but i have to plug it in and out to find the right working position...

so i have some questions:

1) tHIS is caused by DUST  (contacts must be cleaned??) or its the normal
   time-life of a superpass device (im using it since august 2005)??
   Is there a way to solve this, or simply i need a new superpass 1(I could not us superkey since ds slot is broken)


2) If i finally FLASH my ds,,, since i have to flash the phat-ds which is the recommended version of flashme ? I've read that on the DS-LITE some features can be lost after flashing (eg: Pictochat etc,) and i would like to NOT LO0SE any feature of the original firmware...so best version for phat??

same thing was happing to me so i download flashe me v7 worked for my phat ds, i didnt lose any features, so i would recomend you flash your ds with flashme v7

Flashing doesn't harm ur ds oly if u turn it off while flashing...

Tooth pick + wrapped in aluminium/tin foil = best flashing device.

At least, it works for me. I highly recommend it. Don't waste your money on a screwdriver just to flash your DS. Head over to the kitchen for the things you need instead.  

Also, the screw at the battery cover of the DS Phat/Lite requires a philips head screw driver (the screw driver that has a + when you look at it directly from the top)
