Problems with a MicroSD card

The following problem presented itself today: some homebrew on my Supercard Lite refuse to load (when I click them in the SC menu, the loading freezes at 0KB).

I thought this was some random error, but when I plugged the MicroSD (Sandisk Ultra II 1GB) to my computer, the card 'blinks' in and out of the computer, appearing as a drive for a few seconds and then disappears.

The computer reports some drive I/O error, and I can't seem to access the card long enough to format it.

But NDS games still work nicely enough from the card. As does NesDS, for example.

Any ideas on how to format/fix the card? Or should I just go buy a new one?

Have you tried a different reader or computer?

Oh, right. I Forgot to mention that. Tried the MicroSD card on another computer, didn't work. And tried my SD card reader with a 2GB SD card, it worked fine.

So it's the MicroSD that's causing the problem. Any suggestions on how to access the card are welcome.

Try cleaning the metal contacts with an eraser or something like that

Some not-too-violent scrubbing of the contacts didn't seem to help any.

I get the impression that your card is screwed.
Try and get a replacement?

Hnngh, I'll try to see if I can format the bugger, since it at least works partially. Must... keep... experimenting...
I could get a replacement, but that'd take a week or few...
