Good news.  Romman has made great progress with DS stuff.  3 months ago could you ever imagine that the cheap Supercard, which can't run a lot of GBA games full speed, would boot nearly all the commercial DS ROMs?

ghaxaq

Any possible release date? I hope he releases the new software soon because I cannot wait anymore, but I think nearly 15th September i.e this week or somewhere near there, but hope sooner not later

ok with this new update which will be out soon
We will be able to save directly to the CF/SD
So will I still need a gamecard with a large enough
memory to save?

We don't know yet, but i think that you won't need a gamecard thats large enough any longer, but just a card in the DS.
As i said, we don't know yet.
As soon as i can talk with Romman, i'll ask him about it.

well the answer to that is no because the whole idea is the save goes direct to the cf/sd card otherwise whats the point it will be the same as the gba saves wooot

A little talk with him on MSN:

I am really really sorry if i'm bothering you. We will be able to save directly to the CF/SD. Yes i know that,
But will I still need a gamecard with a large enough
memory to save? Or a atleast a card in the slot? (I use flashme)

romman---Please don't ask WHEN :)  I am crazy busy!!! says:

use card in the slot

-------------------------------------------------

So that means we'll still need a card in the slot, but it can be Any game card![/b]

PS: You can see in his nickname that he's hurrying up ;)

well as I have seen from my MSN chats and from this msn chat ROMMAN is a person of few words, but lots of action (+his team)

DarkKiller

Just talked with him again, and he said it a bit clearer this time:

Ok, just to clear something...
Will the NDS card need the same save size etc. as the game in the SC?
Like if i'm running NINTENDOGS (2 mbit save) and i have MR. DRILLER DS (64kbit save) and i try to save, will it crash? Thanks!

romman---Please don't ask WHEN :) I am crazy busy!!! says:
It will run but if you try to save it will crash.

And you might know why this is bad news! :(

Maybe he means just for the current firmware.  You did not really specify that you meant on the new firmware.  I'm sure he gets people asking questions about the currently avaliable version just as often as questions about the coming update.

Hopefully that's the case.

ghaxaq

Did you specify on the firmware if it was for this one or for the next one?

But I do think he answered you for the current firmware the 1.5 because if you will be able to SAVE and LOAD DIRECTLY from the SC why would you need the ds cart  to save onto?
