General opinion of Superpass?

Greetings,

I am a happy owner of a Supercard SD.

I am considering purchasing the Superpass adapter, whats the general opinion on the device?

Hows the load speed?

Do any of the DS games slow down?

Is the current save system a pain?

What are its faults?

I know the device is reasonably cheap, I just want to get an idea before I make my purchase.

Hi There,

I have had my Superpass about a week, I am really chuffed :)

All the working games run at full speed but at this time saving is done via the boot game you are using, for example I am saving N4SU on my Mario 64, I am supprised to find my Mario save is also still intact!

Some games save to the Metriod demo but tnd to get erased when you change games!

Loading is a bit slow but once loaded its just like playing the real DS game :)

No faults really, just some imcompatible games but hopefully we will get support for saves to the CF card and games over 256mb.

Have fun...

Steve.

Thanx Steve,

A appreciate your response :)

I've made the purchase, and now I wait........

The save to SD card functionality may be out before I get my device, woo hoo.

Whats the average load time?

Do you know of a URL with a list of the Rom sizes?

I just took 35 seconds for Need for Speed 2 to load, its a 256mb rom, the bigest the SC takes at the moment.

So half that for 128mb, etc.

Have fun with you SC :)

You could also try trimming them to increase load time and decrease size

35 seconds is more than reasonable for the functionality the device offers, cool :)

I was under the impression that I would be re-living the days of loading games from a Commodore 64 Tape drive!

The SC is a cool device, I cant wait until I get my SuperPass....

Have you tried Advance Wars DS yet?

Advance wars is working, you need a real game with large saves like Madden or Nintendogs for it to save right. Good game I might add, just like AW2 on GBA but with a touch screen.

I will give Castlevania a try, I've never been a fan of that series though...  Just got Anouther Code working. WOW

But I still play NFS the most :)

I already have 7 games for my ds so saving isnt an issue ive got lots of finished games to overwrite :)

Also Nanostray is good for the odd quick game, they could have done a lot more, would have made a great Starwing style game but its essentually a vertical shooter with 3d graphics.

I was looking for this, too, and I found one, so I figured I'll share it with you!
