You guys read the story about Reggie Fils-Aime talking with Take Two about them making games for the Wii also. Reggie says Nintendo wants EVERY top rated game on the Wii and that they even want all the M games they have tried to steer clear of in the past. Looks like the big N is really going all out and trying to shed the "kiddie" console image. Great news imho!

If this is true, Nintendo will clean up and regain their lost market share in the console market.  Xbox 360 and the PS3 are WAAAY too expensive for most people.  The kiddie image kept them in the game while they were getting pounded, especially by Sony, over the last 10 years.  But now I think they smell blood in the water with their main competitors launching $400-$600 consoles.  They have a chance to truly rise to the top again.

I can imagine the remote being used in a way similar to GTA on the PC, mouse wise. Moving, shooting, even driving.

Perhaps, but manufacturer's might tap into this too, perhaps making specialized controllers to go along with certain games that one might want a better feel for.

Probably better off using the Retro Controller instead of developing a controller specificially for one game.

games only available on wii will be very good. but i just realised today by looking at pictures in games magazines how bad nintendo wii graphics looks compared to ps3 and xbox 360. sure if they make them look cartoony etc they will look fine, but when you are able to cmpare graphics for realistic looking games, like war games, wii looks bad.


still would get a wii over any though. only problem ive encountered yet.

That was one game, and the pictures were leaked low reso pictures that could have been an alpha. If your going to base the whole of the Wii's graphical capabilities off one pictures thats just retarted

Where are you getting this "bad graphics" from?

There have been more recent screenshots released from a variety of games... Call of Duty 3, Splinter Cell, Red Steel... I was going to post a dozen or so screenshots I thought were good, but my internet connection is horrible right now.  Takes 20 minutes to load like one page... So go to gamespot yourself...  http://www.gamespot.com ...  Go to their wii page, look at some screenshots.  Their only fault is that they're not very high-resolution, but we've known about that for a long time.  The graphics aren't PS3 or anything, but they're no slouch either.

All the known screenshots are alpha builds of release games, two things that generally mean "omgwftbbq UGLY".  :lol:

The big thing to think about is clubbing hookers with the Wii-mote.
