Hello All

I'm RyanGamerGoneGrazy, new to the DS homebrew scene :)

I recieved my Supercard Lite Rumbler (Micro SD) and a super key today, and neither contained any instructions. I have several questions.

I've had a look around these forums in the past few days, and on the supercard.cn website, but didn't find the info i was looking for...

Will a transflash memory card work?....it seems to fit the slot...

Is there any sort of specific format the card must be in, or is anything okay?

Can I simply patch the games, using the patcher, then copy them over manually to the card?

Will any of this, harm the supercard, or "brick" my ds?

And lastly, .....When i power on my ds, do i choose, slot 1(the superkey), or choose the flash cart(gba slot)

I'm sorry about these mundane questions, but alas, this seemed the right place to ask

Sincerley

1.  In the English section of the supercard.cn website, there should be a button that says setup.  They have a nice guide there.
2.  Yes transflash (MicroSD) is for the Supercard Lite Rumbler.
3.  FAT16 is good.
4.  Yes you patch them through the Supercard patcher, then drag into the transflash cart.  (MicroSD)
5.  No, flashing the DS could brick your DS.  But if you do your research and not fool around, and stick to guides.  Then it won't brick.
6.  Not sure, I think it is the GBA slot.

most likely FAT16 (or FAT)

"Can I simply patch the games, using the patcher, then copy them over manually to the card? " - that IS what you do....

"Will any of this, harm the supercard, or "brick" my ds?" - no, it doesnt damage it unless you run some dsbricker file.... (which you shouldnt)

- choose slot 1 - ... hm, can you even choose GBA slot? (scl rumble doesnt have gba support)

i believe you should get a cheap TF (microSD) card... they all work the same on the SCL... and i guess since its rumble, even faster

mine automatically skips to "superkey" even with the automatic thing off

Ahhh...thank you very much....I'm really impressed with the unit thus far...only complaint really is that its hard to take the memory card out because its so small...and the supercard seems to rock side to side a bit in the gba slot

Another quick question.

I've looked around and noticed that some say that the faster the memory card, the better, while others say it doesnt matter....Should i really be concerned with this? Is a standard card fine?...or are they refering to cf, sd, and not micro sd?..

I played Big Mutha Truckers, and the game was horrid slow, though everything else i've played has been fine, including nanostray, which i assume is a graphically intense game...Anyone care to comment?

It doesn't seem to matter much for CF and microSD Supercards.  With SCSD and miniSD, I recommend getting the faster memory cards (80x-150x).

One last little question...

Is it possible to take game save files, say from the datel ds software, and make it compatible with patched supercard roms?

Do i need additional software, or can i just simply drag and drop the save game files onto the card?

Yes, you can use Action Replay saves.

Please read my SuperCard guide for every other question:
