Okay, I downloaded one of those pre-made Moonshell packs for my Supercard Lite, and I was wondering... do I simply make a folder titled Moonshell, extract ALL the contents to it and put it in my CF root folder?

theres an executable file that installs Moonshell onto the desired location. There is information on how to install Moonshell here:

Welcome to scdev!

did you figure out the moonshell setup issue you were having?

CharlieDigital

Yes I did, sir. thanks to who helped me. One more thing, though... Sometimes if I play a rom (NES or GBA) and then reset back to the SCL screen, my moonshell startup file will disappear and I'll have to power cycle to get it back. Is this normal?

Thank you for the respect, but man you gotta stop calling me sir, I think my dad is behind me. LOL! When I put loaded a nes game and then did the reset (L+R+Start+Select) it went back to the menu, but did not show any thing but the nes games and the NES game is still loaded and says (in card) by the name in the 01 slot on the screen. I think it does this cause the nes game is loaded and has activated the built in pocketnes.

On another note, if you want to improve your SC menu you can, when you are reading your sd card with your pc, you can right click on the shell folder and choose hidden checkbox and it will not be seen in the supercard menu. I do this also with the DSLiveWeather folder also.

I also have a folder called movies in the SC root dir, that is also hidden (only the folder not the contents). In the global.ini folder, the first listing is the start path. I have it as StartPath=//MPCF/Movies I do not really use moonshell for anything other than movies. So when you start up moonshell it goes directly to this folder. You could customize this to your needs, maybe have a folder called media and put a folder in it called movies and another called music (for this scenario you would have it as StartPath=//MPCF/Media).

One other suggestion is to use FatSort. This is a program that sorts your fat dir (media) in alphabetical order. Just copy it to your SD card and make it hidden so it doesnt show on the sc menu. And when you put stuff on your SD card, before removing it from the card reader, just quickly run it. It takes about 1 sec or less.

hope this helps.
