Huge SD Problem PLEASE Help :(

My 2GB Sandisk Micro SD is screwed up. It worked perfectly but I tried to put Yoshi's Island 2 on and it said 'Device is not ready' and closed. It's not my memory card reader because my brothers works (Damn him playing Yoshi's Island 2

). I can't delete anything or put anything on it. I can copy small files (Like saves) onto my desktop, but after it puts one of my desktop it says 'device is not ready' and closes. I can play the games that are on there fine on my DS, but they won't save. Like in Phoenix Wright 2 it just said Saving... for about 3 minutes, then the same happened with Advanced Wars. I tried to format it, but once it goes to the end it says 'Windows could not complete format' and everything is still on there. Someone PLEASE help

have you tried unplugging the sd eader, rebooting, then plugging the reader into a different usb port

I'll try rebooting, but I doubt it'll work as I've already tried it on another PC.

Sounds like your card is corrupted bad enough that it can no longer be written to. Time for a new card!

IIatronachII how long have you had your sd card??

My microsd card did that like a week ago! So i returened it to newegg.com and got a replacement. I dont know what i did wrong but i never formatted it to FAT16 so that couldve benn the problem. Or i think i might have pulled the sd card out of the sd reader while it was still reading it. Did you do any of the things i just said above?? Because that couldve of been your problem. If so try to format it again and see if that works but when i tried to format my card a week ago it wouldnt even format it said "error formatiing". GOOD LUCK!

download a utility called hdtune, and do a health check on teh drive

Just re-format either with your computer, another computer, or a phone/camera. Once that is done it should be fine. Its always best to make backups of your saves whenever possible.

I haven't done anything like that. And do you think I could return it to Sandisk? I bought it from eBay.

I did a health check and I got two red blocks. Any way to fix this?

If I try to format it with my computer or another computer it says 'Windows could not complete the format.'

the reds blocks are your problem, the card has bad sectors

in windows right click+ properties on the drive click tools, then error settings, then check BOTH boxes, then run the scan, then see what it says

For some reason my USB Memory Reader isn't working anymore, normally when it's plugged in there's a light, but now there isn't one. And now my Supercard says there's nothing on my SD (It dosen't say 'SD Not Found', there's just nothing to select.
EDIT: I don't know how it stopped working all of a sudden...
