Finally my sc has arrived 10 mins ago...

But, even if i've read lot of stuff about sc form months now that i'm going to use it for the first time i have a few questions and doubts:::

1) About  supercard software v.2.41 (for SD version) : to avoid game slowdown i've to leave unselected all the options that are listed, or at least one must be selected while i convert my roms ???

2) The function to add a txt file to a rom has disappeared?(i read of this functon and others on the faq)

3) files i have to put on the sd card  are the new firmware and the filmplay (bin extensions), in a specific folder? or simply i have to put them inn the root?

4) When i add a rom to the software and under the patch colum it is written FAIL , will the rom not be playable in any way, or there is still something to do?

THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENTS ROM pathchers for NDS and GBA, or the patcher is only for gba roms??? please help
other things i think well informed due to your wonderful abd helpful website...bye for now , thanks

1) Enable save must be selected to save games, the one that causes the most slowdown is "enable restart", check the compatibility list for roms that work fine or have problems

2) When you add the game right click it and go into properties, "Enable add text to file" was (I'm still on an older version) just above "Enbable cheat" (Engrish :D )

3)in root

4) That means its failed patching the speed of the game, sometimes it will work but on most roms you will prolly get a white screen

I belive there is only 1 patcher for both NDS and GBA but I'm not too sure as I only have an SP at the moment

It depends if you want to be able to have real time save.. research which games have a slowdown problem, and on those games, only enable "saver patch" option.  without "saver patch" the game wont save to ram at all (if i remember).  but many games function quite well with real time save and "enable restart"..  I don't use cheat, so i don't know about that. i would avoid it for slowdown.

yes, the function to add txt seems to have disappeared.

you can put them anywhere.  just leave it in the root..  the supercard file browser will see your folders as normal, provided you formatted your card as FAT.

4) When i add a rom to the software and under the patch colum it is written FAIL , will the rom not be playable in any way, or there is still something to do?

It will probably still play.  don't worry. just try it.  besides, how long does it take to simply try and see?  that's what I had to do, before discovering forums like this one.  trial and error.

there is one patcher.  make sure the version number matches your firmware (kernel) version.  there is plenty of info on that in the unnoficial forums

thanks

if it says "fail" und the column saver patch then this just means you turned off the option saver patch or it simply does not need to be patched - should better say "no". about 50% of my tested roms said fail, and i got i think two or three roms that did absolutely not boot out of about 50 tested, 2 had minor slowdowns all the others worked well and i just patched with "saver patch"
