Hello all,

I was able to flash an earlier silver DS I had using wifime with no problem. I just bought a new silver DS which apparently requires the Passme2. I have tried all I can read, but I can't get the new DS flashed.

I have Madden 06, so I bought a passme2 built for Madden 06. I updated my Supercard SD to v1.54 using another DS I have. I copied passme2buttonwait.gba and flashme.nds to the SD card and put it in the SC. I put the SC into the DS and started it. I started it in GBA mode, and picked AM6E from the menu of passme2buttonwait and it said SRAM written.

I already had Madden 06 in the Passme2. I had it sitting (but not connected) in the DS slot. I turned off the DS, quickly seated the Passme2, and powered the unit back on while holding down ABXY. I get the Safety & Warning screens, followed by 2 white screens and that's it. I never get the SC menu to select Flashme.

The trouble is, I know I am doing it quick enough. It's not like I am taking my time while doing this, and I don't see how I could do it any faster.

Is there something else I am missing or doing wrong?

Thanks,

R

Do this:

After you select the game with the passme2button wait and it says sram written, DONT turn off the DS... and then insert the passme2....insert it while it is still on and on the passme2button wait "sram written" screen! That's right, pop in the passme2 (with your game inside it of course) while the ds is on, THEN power off then back on. No need to do the abxy either, it will go right into the Supercard DS mode. From there, flashme!

EDIT:

Quote from the above tutorial:

"So, we press the A button and we receive the "SRAM Written" message.. Now, while the DS is still turned on, pop in your PassMe2 with your DS cart inserted and turn off, and then back on, the DS quickly."

So, this really is the correct way to do it. I have flashed over a dozen new firmware DS's to date, all using the same method. Should work fine. Good luck!

Well, I tried your suggestions, and I still was not able to get it to enter Supercard SD mode.

I loaded it up in GBA mode, selected AM6E from the menu (Madden 06) and got the SRAM written message. With the unit still on, and Madden 06 connected to the Passme2, I put it in the DS.

I then turned it off, and quickly back on and got the health & safety warning and then followed by 2 white screens. I did not get the Supercard SD mode where I could select my flash.

I have two different SD supercards, and I have tried them both. Madden 06 works in the DS slot, so the only thing I can think of is that I either have a defective or incorrectly programmed Passme2??? The sticker on the package said it was for Madden 06 though, so I am really stuck.

If someone has an idea, I would love to know how I could get this to work.

Thanks,

R

Heh, it may be possible that your passme2 is not programmed for that game, or that you do not have a passme2 but an original passme (they look the same) or that finally the  passme2 is defective. Where did you get it from? Mine came from Natrium42.

I should add, when I do this I do not even have to be that quick with the off/on thing. I can actually wait like 20 seconds and it still kicks into NDS mode. So quickness really is not a major factor honestly.

This would not matter. A passme2 device that works correctly will work on any DS on the market right now.

Thats as far as we know. If he bought it earlier today, for all we know, there could be a new firmware.

True. Let us all just hope that this is not the case. Wouldn;t want to have to wish for another exploit just to flash a DS in the future.

thaive

was your passme2 programmed for Madden US or EU?

This may be an irrelevant point, but have you checked the front of you're original madden cart to make sure the code is AM6E. I think I have made this mistake as the code on my cart is slightly different to the code my Passme2 was programmed too and I am having the same problems as you.
