I used to be able to persist my homebrew saves to SRAM by quickly powering off then back on, and then going to the saver and saving.  Since upgrading it no longer works.... only "loads" :(

The saver tab only seems to let me load....no more save? :'(

Can I downgrade to 1.63 or will this mess up my supercard?

I think this is a bug in 1.7! Errggg :(

I just noticed this too, actually for me it's a godsend as my daughter kept wiping my saves !

Now I wonder if this is WHY QPC no longer works, as it is now loading the sram not saving, perhaps we need some homebrew GBA app which doesn't re-initialise the sram but we can patch to be able to save to SRAM :-)

Actually many GBA games can be patched with the supercard patcher....but not NDS.  I asked for it hear but apparently I am alone in my quest....

Too bad, I think supercard should cater first to homebrewers.....

Does anyone know if I can downgrade my version??? (for the reasons mentioned a couple posts ago).

I don't want to brick my supercard.... :?

If the file for the 1.63 firmware is in .bin format (like it is for the SC miniSD) then you should be able to downgrade successfully.  If it comes in .scu format (like for the SC Lite) then you won't be able to downgrade.  I successfully downgraded my SC miniSD to 1.63b and QPC saving started working again.  Note that if it works, you will need to repatch your games with the older software before saving on them will work correctly.

I own a few SC Lite units, two of which has v1.63 firmware. I ripped the firmware and it is in bin format, although it just does not work (boots to GBA screen and then white screen). Anyone want to have a go at it? Here's the SC Lite v1.63 firmware:

Just a raw dump of the firmware doesn't work, you need to apply a part that writes to the "bios" of the supercard.

That is what I figured. Hmm...

Gaddammit - I upgraded, and now the menu boots with the new graphics etc, but I get white screens for every game.

Any advice appreciated,

Cheers.

Same problem as flashermac for me. Haven't repatched games yet, but am worried about save compatibility.

I just reverted back to 1.63.

I can wait for new firmware to play the latest games, my wii is taking up all my gaming time anyway :D
