SuperCard Lite

.::SuperCard Lite Ultimate Guide v1.0::.

.::Introduction::.

Well, you bought a DS Lite and you don't want to buy 2000 games, what do you do?  Buy a SuperCard Lite!

.::What you need::.
To use a SuperCard Lite, you need a Nintendo DS Lite, a NoPass device(e.g. SuperKey)/ PassMe Device (e.g. SuperPass)/ A flashed DS Lite.  You also need a microSD memory card (1-2 GB) and a USB Memory Card Reader.

.::Getting Started::.
The first thing you should do when you get your new SuperCard Lite is to test it.  Put the memory cand into your SuperCard Lite and plug the SuperCard Lite into your DS Lite.   Turn on your DS Lite and hold the L+R shoulder buttons.  The SuperCard should self-test itself and give you reports.  If there is anything wrong, take it back to where you bought it and get it replaced for one that works.  Now, go onto the SuperCard website and download the software.  Unzip the .rar file and run setup.exe.  When you are done installing, there should be a file named "Super Card.exe.", "firmware_micro_170.bin" or a similar named file) and a couple .s files.  You should put the "firmware_micro_170.bin" or a similar named file) into the SuperCard Lite and run it to upgrade it.

.::Getting Games::.
To play games on you DS Lite with a SuperCard, you need games in .nds, .gba, or .gbc file formats (you need an GameBoy Color emulator to play .gbc games).
you can get the files by logging on to a ROM downloading site or Google Searching the file format you want to find a site.  Download the ROMs you want and put them in a folder.

.::Transfering Games::.
To transfer game, you have to run the Super Card.exe.  Before you add any games, click on the "Options" tab on the top.  Click on the [...] box under the "Out Path" heading and choose a folder where you want the new files that you will put into you SuperCard Lite to be.  Go back to the "Game List" tab and click "Add."  Browse to the folder you put your games in and clikc on the game.  If you want to play a GameBoy Color (.gbc) game, download Goomba Color Emulator and just drag the .gbc file into the folder.  When you finished adding all the game you want, click on "Out."  The files should appear as:
.nds file = .nds.dsq, .nds.sav
.gba file = .gba, .sav, .sci
.gbc file = .gbc

Getting the Games into your microSD
To get all the games you have in the folder you chose as the Out Path into the microSD, go to that folder and plug in you USB Memory Card Reader with the microSD in it.  When you are there, click File -> Select All -> File -> Send To -> Removable Disk.  If you want to alphabeticalize the files, downlaod FATSort and run it.  If you are using the new 1.70 firmware, you have to click "Invert Sort"

.::Playing the Games::.
To play the games on your DS Lite, take out the microSD from your USB Memory Card Reader and plug it into the SuperCard Lite.  Turn on your DS Lite and pick the games you want to play.  To play a GameBoy Color(.gbc) game, run the Goomba Color Emulator and keep pressing the L+R Shoulder buttons until a window pops up and you can chose the .gbc file you want to play.

Your guide was brief and to the point, not bad for your first guide

Note that you can launch .gb and .gbc files directly from the Supercard menu, which will launch them in Goomba Color Alpha 6.  You will then need to use the button combination on the Supercard site FAQ to save.  You can also create your own compilation using the instructions at http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Goomba and patch it with the Supercard patcher.  I've had success using only the very first "enable save" option, using the QPC method to save.  Perhaps RealTime Saves or the button combo would also work, but I haven't tested this personally.

At the PocketHeaven forums there is a thread for the WIP versions that are newer than Alpha 6 and include additional functionality.
