Hi

four last questions.

Devil_Spawn, what do you mean by "Production costs. The thing that would cost money is a chip that won't be used anyway, right?

I can't solder, but out of couriousity (which is where most of my questions on this form came from) would it be possible to add this chip to a dsphat threw soldering?

Does nintendo still manufacture v4 or below nds's?

How do you know the sun won't fall out of the sky?

If the chip is the same size, yes, but you'd have to hack the firmware too. If FlashMe doesn't work, you could just use ALite/LoveLite.

No, but there's a good chance that if you buy a silver one used at GameStop, that it will be.

You don't, though it's not the sun I'm worried about...

no you dont get my point, instead of using the old DS Phat power management chip, they use the same chip as the lite in the phats, meaning that they only need to manufacture the new chips and do not need the old ones

Correct me if im wrong, but if someone dumped the virsion of a v5 dsphat would you then be able to use that to adjust the brightness? Or is it that power management chip? So would the end result be needing both the PMC and the hacked firmware?

both, you would need the correct power management chip, and flashme v7 lite firmware
