I just got my SD SC but having problems ... cant seem to find any coherent instructions..... here is what I did..

1. Put in ndspatched roms in SD card taken straight out from digicam
2. put in superpass with metroid demo
3. Put both supercard + superpass in NDS and switch on then press ABXY
4. Got white screen

Then tried just the supercard in GBA SP with GBA rom -can see the listing and can load, but then got white screen.

Trying just the supercard without the superpass in NDS, I got the same result - can see list of roms and can load, but got white screen afterwards.

What am I doing wrong here? Am I missing some steps?

Thanks in advance

ok.. here's an update .... I used the supercard 2.41 software to convert 1 NDS rom and 1 GBA rom and put in supercard. The GBA rom works on both machine. However, if I plug in the superpass into NDS, the nds gets a blank screen. Do I need to prep the superpass before using it?

you dont need to press ABXY on start with passme, only when you flashed your ds with flashme.

but you need to flash your SC to version 1.50: http://www.supercard.cn/download/mysd_for_NDS_PassMe.rar (for SD SC)
copy to SD and run it in GBA mode. after flashing your SC, everything should work

Still a couple of niggling problems, but at least I can play some games now....

1. Saving
I got a rom called game.nds.dsi in the SD. So, I create a 64k file called game.nds.sav. It is the same file I got from a gba sav file, just renamed.

After finishing the game, I quickly power the NDS off, then on again. Go to SAVER tab and select that sav file and write save to SD. But it never saves.

I must add that, using the SC without the supeerpass and saving a GBA game this way, it was successful. Hence, where I got the 64k sav file to be used on NDS games.

Ridge Racer is even weirder ... I use the rom l-rrup.nds.dsi - It require me to create a profile before I race. So I put my name in. Using Metroid cart, it is unable to create a profile. Using Mario64 cart, the profile is actually stored automatically when I go back to game. When I play Mario, I found all my saved Mario files gone.

2. NDS Patcher ....
Ok, Some may say, learn to walk b4 trying to run.... but all I wanted was to try FIFA as I heard that the SD software does not allow you to play it. However, alll games created by NDP is in the format of gamename.nds.gba. Loading that into the NDS only bring up the GBA start screen then blank white screen. I tried renaming it to gamename.nds.dsi but no avail. Am I missing out something really obvious here?

Thanks in advance

Dudu.exe

this ds.gba  you only need to rename to nds .. not DSI...

ndspatcher.exe dont work with all roms to make it save on CF..

About FIFA 2006, as i wrote on another forum,
i have a toshiba sd card 512 mb, and SC SD version:

The solution to save game on to sdcard is QPC.
You must have game that patch with ndspatch.exe (0.1 by Kain) and file .sav from GBA (64K size). rename the game patched in to xxx.nds and rename .sav file in a same name. You should have this two file ..

Castlevania.nds
Castlevania.sav

Flash it in to Your FlashCard and insert it in to NDS machine. Open the game play it and save in game and power off/on go to supercard screen and go to saver screen select game.sav and push A button twice. Return to game and if it does'nt reload save automatically you should open the save in game play.
.............

But those is for CF version I also use sd version and can't use QPC for NDS game too. Infact I can use QPC for a few GBA game with my Supercard sd(1.50  firmware). I think it's problem by firmware 1.50 that cause this happen. I never make the auto load save (have choose in supercard menu) to get work at all.

I may be goto M3 finally.. and sold Supercard sd version for whoever want to play GBA only.

SAD~

Like you, I have the SD version, although I never tried to press the A button twice to save.

I think my saves are being saved in the DS cart itself and is being overwritten everytime I save another game. I cant get it to save in the SD card.

That's 'cause you use Supercard Software to patch the game. It's always  save the game state in to original cartrige (that's have the same save  type 4k or 64k or 2MB).

If you wan't to save into MemoryCard  You must use ndspatch.exe to patch the game. But as I explain it's work with CF version only.

I may wait 'till 15th Oct. To see that the new firmware v.1.51 will launch or not. If not I will buy M3 (sd version) that will launch at that time.

I have now formatted my SD card and put only NDS patched games in it.
They all have names like

game.nds
with
game.sav

However, I still cannot appear to save.
In some games, I cannot even create a save file,
eg. Ridge Racer using Metroid in superpass - ok with Mario64
eg. Yoshi - unable to create a save file at all.

How quick do you have to do the QPC?

And, I think the games are still saving into the DS card slot because, wehn I look at the save file after saving it, it's Modified Date has not changed.

To save, I go to SAVER tab, select the game.sav file, press A, then press A again to write to SD. Is this correct?

Thanks so far.

I really hope the new 1.51 fw will come out soon as I am pulling my hair out with these saving woes,

As I explain.. If you want to save state in to sdcard you must use ndspatcher (ndspatch.exe) that create by Kain not the Roman (or Romman) one.

If you use  Supercard Software (SC) to patch the game you will not save in other place but in the cartrige. In this case if you prefer to save in to cartrige you won't need the game_file.sav at all. only the game_file.nds.dsi is enough for you.
