Is there any other flash animation software for ds other than natriums?

PharaohsVizier

how do u use natriums?  I can't get it to work... :(

I don't even think DS has the processing power to run flash smoothly.

Hi

What about the DS's prossesing power combined with the supercard's ram?

You have no idea what RAM is for, do you?

Hi

ARE YOU INSULTING ME???:x

I believe that ram is like the computer's short term memory. (The computers hard disk being the computer's long term memory.)

With extra ram, can't you use software emulation to replace things like prossesing power?

you got the ram right.... however software emulation IS processing power, software = runs on a processor ^_^

RAM only lets the system hold more information at a given time but it got nothing to do with faster emulation.

lolilops

just convert the swf file to flv or something like that and then convert it to dpg using batchdpg or some similar tool and watch it using moonshell, works fine for me.

Devil_Spawn

there are many swf convertion tools, eg to mpg or avi, dunno about flv though

Hi

could you link me to a free swf conversion tool devel-spawn? (If it exists.)

I've only seen one and it did a horrible job. It didn't convert sound and the bitrate was terrible. It's better then the natriums but not as good as it should be in my opinion considering All it's got to do is make a tiny conversion.

And... I'm confused. Do you think someone could remind me exactly what prossesing power/a proseser is used for. I only have a vauge Idea which is obviously wrong.

Processing power depends on the CPU. It is like the brain of the machine. Faster processor = think faster = do stuff faster. There are 2 CPUs in the DS: the ARM7 and the ARM9.

Hi

I get it now.

I was confusing it with ram because I was thinking about reading off of ram apposed to reading off a hard disk or using vertual memory. And thanks for adding in the interesting fact about arm7 and arm9. Now I know what programmers mean when they talk about them.
