GBA SP get a better Screen

Info:
Backlit screen now
Two levels of brightness
Cannot turn off backlight
Same price as the regular SPs

Anybody tested the new screen under direct sun light. I noticed the old GBA, or GBA SP is actually better then DS under this condition. My DS looks black under direct sun light.

I do need to use the SP with the TV adaptor for some tuning work under the sun.

Please does anyone knows where i can buy an UPGRADE model of the GBA-SP (with new brighter screen)

I find my DS too much big to carry with me at work

GBA looks better on SUN LIGHT becouse they are made for that !!! DS dont need .. just turn around and play normaly =]

Are these GB SP's sold with diffrent packaging, or are they packed the same, just updated to the latest design? Where can you buy them?

i read the ign article, so do yourself it, you will find a lot of info...however there is another package, with a pretty big writing on it that says that the scrren is different...

i dunno where to buy, please anyone does?

Yea, it is now out in stores (been spotted at Toys R Us, Best Buy, Kaybee etc). Seems to be coming out but slowly. You may need to wait for your area to get it but it will get there eventually. I asked around and my area still doesn't have it. Maybe next week.

wonder if there is any changes to the system to prevent the use of flashcarts or SC, etc. didnt they do that with the 2nd revision model of the DS to prevent the use of PassMe?

nope.. the DS need a passme to run ds program from a GBA CART ..

GBA was made to read from a GBA CART .. it cant notice the diference =]

I returned my Platinum SP that I bought 2 weeks ago, back to Circuit City.

They didn't have the new backlit ones in stock yet.

I went to Best Buy next - nothing there.

Finally I stopped at the mall and went to an EB Games. BINGO!
They had plenty in stock! (no minis though, i noticed).

bought it. then I played We <3 Katamari for 20 minutes at their kiosk.

Must say, the screen looks great!

Well, I think there could be. Maybe the same CF SC compatibility issue with GBM might plague the new bright SP as well?
