hey,
i have a router that came with my broadband connection, and works perfectly, except for the fact that my wireless network is really slow and computer to computer transfer rates are terrible, is the router limiting my wireless network to the speed of my internet connection, and can i speed it up in any way???
thanks

jmr

my speedtouch 576 router can do 54Mbps pc to pc it takes a couple of minute to send over a 350MB tv episode
i dont know much about routers just enough to open ports for p2p programs
what make is your router? how terrible are your transfer rates?

Devil_Spawn

the same speed as my internet upload speed 256kbit/s so its terrible

its the one my isp gave me, wanadoo AKA orange, but its made my inventel

edit: 20-30 mins for 220MB

You can get up to 54Mbps (G) but if your router or one of your wireless cards only supports up to 11Mbps (B) then any communication through that device will be limited to 11Mbps.

there both 11 b/g, also the main problem im having is pc-ds tranfer (sylphamp and dsftp), sylphamp is really jumpy, and dsftp is horrid speeds
