HOW TO use Supercard and DSLink at the same time

I see, thanks for the info. This is one of the coolest things I have been able to do (non-game wise  that is) since Moonshell. The browser kicks major ass :)

On an off note, I wonder if this will work as smoothly with the SC DS. I am assuming it will, but I guess I will soon find out for sure!

And on another note, it really is a shame that there are quite a few people that will never buy the DS-Link due to the DS needing to be flashed in order to use it. It really is a nice piece of kit. Works great!

EDIT: Oh, btw, someone had said that you had to remove your SD card from the SC to enable Opera to work with the DS-Link. This is incorrect (at least on my end). I have left my 4GB SD in, and it works just fine and dandy.

Hi

Just accored to me, the mk4 thing will go from the supercard to the dslink without patching it. (appending a loader doesn't quite count as patching, you could just as easily use moonshell to run the file without appending the loader.) But when you patch the mk4, it does the opposit.

What about the rom found in nopass devices? What would happen if you patched the nopass rom with the supercard's patcher? Does a nopass rom work the second time around, or does it have the same problem as the mk4 thing?

Now, I can think of tons of reasons why patching the nopass rom with the sc patcher wouldn't work. But even if it doesn't, bitbit, perhaps you can convince the supercard team to realise the sorce code of their superkey.

Then, if you can make the superkey's rom do the opposit of what it does, you'll be good to go.

Yes, I know pre-pending ndsloader.bin is not really patching. However many people that use "Magic Homebrew Patcher" don't understand this.

Most nopass dumps only boot slot2. The MK4 dump is special. You can for example run the MAX Media Launcher dump from your DSLink to boot your slot2 Supercard, but it doesn't work in the opposite direction. Feel free to experiment yourself.

LoveLite already does that (source code is available). LoveLite boots slot 2.  The big question is how to boot slot1, specificly DSLink. I haven't been able to figure this out myself.

Well it's not that simple to make it do the "opposite". I've found plenty of source code examples showing how to boot slot 2, but I can't find anything about how to boot a slot 1 device that needs flashme like DSLink. Maybe Lick will figure this out?

Hi

The mk4dump is homebrew right? Therefor it's legal right? therefor could someone upload or link to it because I can't find it on the net. Don't own a dslink buy I"d like to use it for my scdsone.

If for some odd reason it IS illigal, what can I type into google that will give me a site that has the mk4 dump.
