Its really simple, you give them your address, serial #, and problem then they send you a packet with your shipping label and you just stick it on a package with the ds in it and send it.

O and check if you have a service center near you, you should be in and out in like 30 seconds if you do.

they said they aren't doing service centers now for some reason you still get to do that?  The site says they dont' do it anymore.

In the UK, you just ring up, then send your DS to the help centre to be replaced. No RMA number, and you pay for the postage yourself. It takes about 1-2 weeks (!) and when I did it, they sent me another broken unit, making it a complete waste of time. Plus, the guy on the phone was rather rude.

I won't be doing that again.

Be warned about those replacement shells, it takes HOURS to do the replacement, and if you haven't done it before, chances are you'll break the ribbon cable. I did.
