DS Lite Adapter Emitting Noise!

My DS Lite (US Version) adapter emits a subtle, yet noticeable noise. It's like this constant "eeee" noise. Well regardless of what type of noise it makes, I'm wondering if this is normal.
I have my DS charge right next to me, as I like to play a little bit before I go to bed (although bright lights before bed time isn't that great of an idea), and the constant noise bothers me.

So really, is the noise I'm hearing from the DS Lite adapter normal? I've tried moving the adapter to different locations in the house and the same noise can be heard.

Thanks!

None of my DS Lite adapters make noise. However, it's common for transformers to make humming noises. I don't think it's something to worry about.

i can hear it, only if im like 6 inches away from the socket

its a regular ds adapter (not lite)
its not bad :)

It seems it's a voltage matter. Maybe there's no enough power to feed the charger (it's receiving less than 120v). It happened the same with a Nokia phone charger.
