Ok, just recently got a DS lite, flashed it no probs, have been using my supercard miniSD on it no problem. Only thing is it sticks out and looks a bit funny, so ive ordered a supercard lite and microsd card.

Thing im not sure about, is am I going to have to re-patch all the games, and lose my saves, or can i literally just copy over all data from miniSD card to microSD card? I noticed the patching software is slightly different, but does it make a difference?

Any help greatly appreciated :)

Yeah, it will make a difference. SD to MiniSD works fine, but MiniSD to MocroSD does not.

Hi

The sav files are compatable with all versions of the supercard. However, you will have to repatch all your roms. Just repatch the roms and then replace the new sav file the rom patcher creates with your old one.

hey, im about to upgrade to an ds lite 2! but im gonna stay with my mini SD, dont want all the trouble ordering things again. Was the ds lite u just brought a new one or old one? Did you flash it with a new flashme or a relatively old one? You see, my friend has a flashme that is about 4 months old and he flashed his first gen ds lite with no problems, i wonder if his flashme will work on my new ds lite, or will it brick?

lol you what?? Ok, as far as I can tell this will answer your question/s. The new flashme, v7 beta, has support for ALL DS's, and even includes the brightness controls for ds lite. If you have trouble finding it, PM me.

you can get the latest flashme v7 in the GBAtemp.net’s Guide to Flashme. In fact you can also get flashme stealth and noflashme.

this is kinda off topic, but i didnt really feel like starting a new thread cuz i dun think its that major of a question. but one thing that is related is that i just did get a supercard lite (upgraded from  supercard sd). my question is, does any1 else feel like their micro sd chip will fall out? usually like in my fone or something, the micro sd chip sorta 'clicks' in and it iss held tightly, but with the supercard lite u just slide it in n slide it. no clicking feature. i might just be paranoid, so just wanted to c wat u guys think. also, do i need to always take out the entire supercard lite adaptor when i want to update my micro sd, or can i leave the adaptor n just slide out the  chip? thanx for any responses.

Miroku, welcome to scdev!

Alot of people have felt that the card was going to fall out, but I don't think i have read where one has, i think it is mostly in the mind. I felt the same way but never have an issue, so I told myself to let it go. When adding to teh microSD, personally I just slide out the micro and put it in the reader. I don't usually remove the sclite as there is no need to.

yea it really must be a mind thing n i cant take it easy ..i aint lucky like u, lol. so i decided to put a lil piece of tape that i will eventually get rid of b.c its totally not aesthetic at all. n its kool that u dun need to take out the whole adapter, makes it a lot easier. btw, thx for the welcome. i shoulda introduced myself but i been lurkin on this site for almost 6 months when i first got my supercard. lol, so i felt welcome already. anywho, i did wanna thank u for ur awesome info that u manage to give to alot of users. good job, ur place in this forum is much appreciated. take it easy.

I'd rather have it just slide in, then click in. I don't want to accidently have my MicroSD shooting out mid-game because I accidently put pressure on it...

Miroku, thanks for the compliment.

belmont, what kind of pressure are you putting on the supercard, the sclite is totally inside the ds and is the microSD. I hope that it doesn't come shooting out mid game, the thing is not spring loaded. Please do not take offense to this, but you made my night with a good laugh....It brought a good mental pic of the microSD shooting out the DS across the floor only to have the cat swat it and run away with it and chew on it like it was a spider. thank you!

Haha, I didn't mean my Supercard shot MicroSDs...I have an M3 (spring loaded) and sometimes I accidently eject the card from it. I was saying that I'm glad the Supercard isn't spring loaded like the M3.
