Supercard SD Vs Supercard Lite

I've been searching all around to figure this out and always hate being the one asking a n00b question.

I've narrowed down my buy to the Supercard SD or the Supercard Lite. I traded a gba game for a friend's passcard, and I already own a 1GB SD card. So I was thinking it would be best to buy the Supercard SD because it will be much cheaper only having to buy the flash cart since I already have a passcard/flash memory.

Using Supercard SD will I have lag on games? (FFIII, Castlevania, etc.)
If so, which games will I experience it in?

(Really n00b question) Is the nds compatibility for sd and lite the same/ how is it different?

I just want lag/worry-free games and would hate to buy the SD, then a week later go buy SCL.

dreamalittledream, welcome SCdev!

I own both and use a sandisk ultra II 1gig in both. It is said that you need a faster SD card for the supercard SD to minimize the slowdown in menus and opening vids with the games you suggested. I can say that with animal crossing in menu is a little slower on the SC SD, but I hardly notice, like a second more.

The NDS compatibility are the same for the SD and SClite.

Here is some info FifthE1ement's Complete Guide to Flashcarts and Homebrew on the Nintendo DS!

and FifthE1ement's SuperCard Guide!

somewhere on this site and gbatemp is a listing of SD speeds to games. maybe someone can find it and post the info (i have once but it was a while ago.)

Thank you (AND FifthE1ement for the guide) for such a quick reply! I'm so happy with this site & being able to get out with a cheaper deal so I can use that money towards my Wii !

Thanks again, and you'll definately see me around everyday once I get my SC !
