I can get it to load save files that I've downloaded. When I try to save, however, it does it instantaneously OR it takes forever. Either way, when I restart, the save file is presumably corrupt (I get a blue screen with some squigglies, and then a new game begins).

Are there certain settings I should use when patching the rom? I'm using the SC Micro with 1.7 firmware and the 2.57 software.

Thanks for your help. I tried searching the forums, but whatever reason, booleans don't work and I couldn't find anything pertaining to this issue.

hm.. before the update saving took WAYYYYY longer.... like 10 seconds -.- and if not maybe 20

i use the latest firmware and software so... i really cant help you because its working for me -.-

anyways my settings are

enable restart
enable trim rom
faster play game
enable DMA mode
enable patch cartridge access

hm... maybe you should try repatching the game and reloading it to your microSD....

cloud9x

should it be low compatbility or high for the patch cartridge access?

cloud9x

never mind, i patched it using the 2.56 software and it is just dandy on my ds now.

thanks anyway.

I am having the same issue with Pokemon D/P. Patching it with 2.56 results in a white screen instead of booting the game, patching it with 2.57 results in the game working fine, but being unable to save. I am using a black SCLite Rumble running the 1.7 firmware.

Should I try downgrading to the the older firmware and patching it again with 2.56? If so, how? I'm still pretty new to all this.

Yes, I am patching the original rom, not repatching the same rom over and over.

This is rather frustrating, actually, since getting a few-month head start on my poke-catching was one of the major reasons I bought a supercard.

Thanks for any advice.

Sorry to reply to my own post, but I thought this might be helpful for the others experiencing this issue. I've solved it, at least for myself.

First I uninstalled and reinstalled patcher v2.57. Did nothing to the firmware (as evidently no previous versions exist for the SClite rumble?), then I deleted and downloaded a different version of the rom from a different source. If I had to make a guess, I'd say there's a bad version of the rom out there that's been spread around pretty good, but as I say, that's just a guess. Unfortunately, both the good and bad version seem to be named wmr-pmr.nds and wmr-pmd-nds (pearl and diamond respectively. no idea why pearl is abbreviated "r").

Hope that helps.

Oh- to clarify: this is in reference to the issue where Pokemon Diamond and Pearl seem to be able to save correctly (or exhibits strange behavior while saving but the save completes anyway), but upon restart a blue screen (ostensibly an error message, but I can't read japanese) displays and begins the game from scratch.
