ok i just looked at my flat screen TV 15inch, and on the back of it it has the yellow, white and red plugins. But there is also another plugin rihgt beside it called an S-Video, and beside the S-Video is a different kind of pulgin calld D-Sub.

SO my question is, Is there any compenent cables I could buy for my Wii to enable it to have better graphics?

If there is what are they called and could you give me a link to them?

I don't think it makes a difference which cable you use.

The types of cables you have do increase quality, there is only 1 type of better cable you can get and that is component cable, your tv does not have the inputs for it so you'll have to make do with s-video

Here is a link to the TV that i have (its different than the one in my first post). http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?CategoryName=tv_13to24TVs&ProductSKU=KV20FS120&TabName=specs&DCMP=FROOGLE

On the back of this TV are 3 plugins that are for teh cables taht come wiht the Wii, but rihgt next to it are 5 other holes. The 5 holes are the same colors as the componenet cables. So does this mean anything??

The wii comes with Composite cables, they are the lowest quality.

Component cables will give you a sharper picture and nicer color. You will need to buy them seperately.

Component Cables from Nintendo

In the specs of the TV the video inputs are listed as:

Inputs and Outputs:

Component Video Input (Y/PB/PR): 1 Rear
Composite Input: 1 Front/1 Rear
RF Input: 1 Rear

At the moment you are using composite where the yellow cable carries the video signal and the red and white the audio channels.

You TV can support Component which uses three cables to carry the vidoe signal (typically Red, Green and blue) which will give you better screen quality so go grab one of those fancy component cables :)

This link will give you an indication of the difference in quality:

Its not as significant as using a component cable for a 360 or ps3 as the Wii isnt really programmed for Hi-def but its still a little nicer.

Honestly, the difference in quality between composite and component are mostly negligible if you do not have an HDTV (or EDTV) set. The image may be a little clearer, but they are still the same resolution (480i versus 480p)

The difference on a 15inch TV will be almost impossible to notice a difference. I doubt you'd even notice a big difference on a 30inch between composite/component on a non HD/EDTV
